Bringing Climate Tech Innovators Together
On December 3rd, Prosemino hosted the inaugural event of our Founder Connect Series in partnership with British Land and Climate Connection. This initiative is designed to foster collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and community-building among founders in the climate tech ecosystem. The event brought together founders, innovators, and industry experts, all focused on addressing the critical challenge of climate change.
A Unique Space for Climate Tech Founders
The Founder Connect event was hosted in a one-of-a-kind space provided by British Land, specifically designed to meet the needs of hard-tech climate companies. Unlike conventional office setups, this purpose-built facility offers adaptable lab spaces and technical infrastructure essential for hardware-intensive startups. Founders can customise the lab spaces to fit their specific development needs, providing an environment where innovation can thrive. Access to such facilities addresses one of the critical "valleys of death" for climate tech startups, bridging the gap between concept development and commercial viability. This tailored space allows founders to reduce overheads, accelerate R&D, and de-risk the path to market entry.
A Successful Launch Event
The first Founder Connect event set a high standard for what’s to come. Attendees had the chance to engage with like-minded entrepreneurs, hear thought-provoking talks, and participate in interactive workshops. Key sessions included:
- Fireside Chat with Dr. Tom Heenan, co-founder of Gaussion: An in-depth conversation offering insights into the realities of building a successful climate tech company.
- Financial Model Workshop: A practical session focused on the essentials of creating robust, scalable, and investor-ready financial models.
- Pitch Deck & Business Plan Development: Founders received guidance on how to craft compelling pitch decks and business plans that resonate with investors and partners.
- + 5 more Expert Offerings
These sessions were designed to deliver practical, tangible value for founders at all stages of their journey. Attendees left with not only theoretical knowledge but also practical, applicable insights that could be immediately integrated into their ongoing business development efforts.
Driving Collaboration and Community
Through curated workshops, discussion panels, and informal networking sessions, attendees explored potential partnerships, sparked new ideas, and developed deeper connections with their peers. Founders from a range of disciplines and technology areas came together, each contributing their unique perspective and expertise.
At the heart of the Founder Connect Series is Prosemino’s belief that collaboration is key to accelerating climate tech innovation. By providing a space where founders can connect, share, and grow together, Prosemino aims to create a support network that extends far beyond the event itself.
Why It Matters
As the climate crisis continues to demand urgent action, supporting early-stage startups working on transformative solutions is more important than ever. Prosemino’s Founder Connect Series aims to empower the next generation of climate tech founders to succeed. By giving them access to resources, expertise, and a thriving community of like-minded innovators, we’re helping to accelerate the path from idea to impact.
What’s Next?
The December 3rd event was just the beginning. Building on its success, Prosemino has plans to make Founder Connect a regular fixture in our calendar. Each event will bring fresh themes, expert speakers, and practical workshops designed to meet the evolving needs of climate tech founders.
